Leon (Chu-Hsiang) Yu has worked in a variety of roles in the scientific and research fields for the past nine years. In 2023, they began working as a Senior Manager of CMC Project Management at Scribe Therapeutics. From 2019 to 2023, they worked as a Senior Project Manager and Project Manager II, Gene/Cell Therapy, Process Development at Pall Corporation. Leon (Chu-Hsiang)'srole included collaboration with CDMOs, providing business and project management support, advocating the use of Pall single-use bioreactors, delivering process development proposals, managing project timelines and budgets, and presenting strategic plan presentations to clients. From 2017 to 2019, they worked as a Research Scientist/R&D Project Manager at Northeastern University. From 2015 to 2017, they worked as a Research Specialist/R&D Project Manager at the University of Connecticut, where they managed five teams to develop a 3D-printed microfluidic chip, managed two teams utilizing 3D bio-printing and magnetic assembly for three tissue engineering projects, developed two types of portable medical devices, collaborated with multi-functional teams at five institutions, and designed 3D illustrations for manuscripts and presentations. From 2012 to 2015, they worked at Harvard Medical School as a Research Assistant/Project Coordinator and a Biomedical Engineering Program Trainee. Leon (Chu-Hsiang)'srole included managing tight project schedules, developing Point-of-Care devices, collaborating with MIT to develop a new vitrification process of cell bio-preservation, and applying acoustic wave expertise to create picoliter-sized droplets that encapsulate single cells.
Leon (Chu-Hsiang) Yu has a Master's degree in Chemistry from Brandeis University and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Medicinal and Applied Chemistry from Kaohsiung Medical University. Leon (Chu-Hsiang) also holds a Research Trainee certification from Brigham and Women's Hospital in the Biomedical Engineering Division.
