Lori Dillard Rech has had an extensive career in strategic initiatives and leadership roles in the non-profit, museum, and arts sectors. Lori began their career as the Director of Education and Public Programs at the National Museum of American Jewish History, where they served from 1998 to 2002. Following this role, they became the Executive Director of the Betsy Ross House from 2002 to 2007, where they demonstrated their ability to manage and lead a historic landmark. Lori then moved on to serve as the President and CEO of the Independence Seaport Museum from 2007 to 2010, where they were responsible for the overall operations and strategic direction of the institution. In 2010, they transitioned into independent work as a Museum Consultant before taking on the role of President and CEO at the Center for Emerging Visual Artists from 2011 to 2016. Currently, Lori holds the position of Director of Operations and Strategic Initiatives at Scribe Inc., where they have been since February 2016. Lori Dillard Rech has a strong educational background in the field of arts, specifically in museum studies and art history. Lori began their academic journey by pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History and Studio Arts at the University of Florida, from 1983 to 1988. Following this, they further expanded their knowledge by obtaining a Post Graduate Certificate in Asian Arts from the University of London, studying from 1988 to 1990. Continuing their passion for the arts, Lori pursued a Master's Degree in Museum Studies at Syracuse University, completing their studies from 1990 to 1992. These educational experiences have equipped Lori Dillard Rech with a well-rounded foundation in the arts and museum practices, potentially shaping their career path in these areas.
