Douglas Goodwin

Visiting Assistant Professor Of Media Studies at Scripps College

Douglas Goodwin is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Media Studies at Scripps College and holds the title of Fletcher Jones Foundation Scholar in Computation. Since November 2008, Goodwin has served as Lead Developer for Communications Web & Mobile at the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority, overseeing the dissemination of transit data and managing Metro's Developer Site. In addition to teaching at the California Institute of the Arts, Goodwin has extensive experience as a filmmaker, having participated in the Ambulante Documentary Film Festival. Previous roles include Solutions Architect at Lunchbox, faculty positions at various colleges, and directing internet applications at Spatial. Goodwin holds an MFA in Experimental Writing and Integrated Media from the California Institute of the Arts and a Bachelor's Degree in Theater from Reed College.
