Sunil Shahani has a diverse work experience in the finance and business development field spanning over two decades. sunil started their career at Bharat Bijlee Ltd, where they quickly rose to the role of Assistant Manager, responsible for managing finance for the western region operations. sunil then moved on to Sterling Holiday Resorts Limited, where they served as Finance Manager, overseeing finance for multiple regions and setting up systems to ensure financial integrity. Sunil later joined MTV Networks as Senior Director Finance, where they established systems and processes for taxation compliance and revenue recognition. sunil then joined The Walt Disney Company as Executive Director Finance, leading the setup and initiation of Disney's television business in India and implementing global accounting systems and processes. Following their time at Disney, Sunil worked at Balaji Telefilms Ltd as Chief Financial Officer, focusing on enhancing corporate governance practices and strengthening investor relations. Their most recent role was at Scripps Networks, where they started as Head of Finance for Scripps in India and eventually spearheaded the company's India launch strategy. In 1988, they enrolled in The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and studied there until 1992, obtaining a CA (Chartered Accountant) degree specialized in Accounting and Finance. Additionally, in 1990 to 1991, they pursued studies at the Institute of Cost and Work Accountants of India and acquired an ICWA (Cost Accountant) degree in the field of Accounting and Finance.
