Lisa Janssen

Society Of Fellows (sof) Career Development Chair at Scripps Research

Lisa Janssen is an accomplished postdoctoral fellow at Scripps Research within the Lotz lab since March 2022, and currently serves as a BAEF Fellow for her postdoctoral work. Janssen has a strong background in biomedical sciences, obtaining a PhD from KU Leuven, where research focused on novel mouse models linking lung inflammation and fibrosis to autoimmune diseases. Prior experience includes roles as a visiting research scientist at the Pollard lab, where Janssen initiated collaborative projects, and various internships at institutions including UZ Leuven and OsloMet, where skills in molecular techniques and metabolic regulation were developed. Academic achievements include co-authoring a publication in the Journal of Hazardous Materials and delivering presentations at conferences.
