Safwat Zargar

Safwat Zargar is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in reporting and analysis. Currently serving as a Special Correspondent at Scroll Media since November 2018, Zargar previously held the position of Correspondent at The Indian Express from December 2017 to October 2018. Prior to that, Zargar worked as a Correspondent at ScoopWhoop Media Pvt. Ltd. from April 2015 to November 2017 and covered politics, human rights, and society at Kashmir Life from January 2014 to January 2015. Zargar began the career as a Trainee Reporter at The Indian Express from January 2012 to December 2013, focusing on various topics including politics and economy in Jammu and Kashmir. Academically, Zargar holds a Master's degree in Convergent Journalism from the Central University of Kashmir and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Govt. Degree College Bemina.
