Manoj Vadakkan

Manoj Vadakkan has a diverse work experience in the fields of Agile software development, consulting, and project management. Manoj'scareer began in 2007 as a Project Manager at CCC Information Services Inc. Manoj then moved on to RLI Insurance Company, where they worked as a Project Manager until 2008. During this time, they also founded an organization called Organ swap Inc., focused on enabling Paired Kidney Donation at a national level.

In 2008, Manoj joined State Farm as an Agile Consultant/Coach, where they played a key role in creating product backlogs, estimating and prioritizing them for Agile projects. Manoj also facilitated meetings with stakeholders and project team members to document project charters, scopes, and risks. Additionally, they provided training to project teams on Agile processes.

From 2009 onwards, Manoj began actively working in the Agile community. Manoj co-founded AgileDC, the largest Agile community-organized event in the Washington DC metro area, and served as a Leadership Team member for the Agile Leadership Network DC Chapter.

Continuing their involvement in Agile, Manoj joined Northern Star Consulting, LLC. (Do You Scrum?) in 2009 as a Certified Scrum Trainer and Agile Software Development Consultant. Manoj trained individuals as a Certified ScrumMaster and conducted other Scrum and Agile classes.

In 2010, Manoj joined CGI Federal as an Agile Coach and Release Manager, where they were responsible for helping organizations transition to an Agile way of working. Manoj also managed projects from inception to completion and conducted training sessions to educate teams about Agile.

In 2013, Manoj joined Scrum Alliance as a Certified Scrum Trainer (CST). Manoj provided Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) classes and other Scrum and Agile training sessions.

Throughout their career, Manoj has demonstrated their expertise in Agile methodology, project management, and leadership, making valuable contributions to various organizations and the Agile community.

Manoj Vadakkan holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Mysore. Manoj pursued this degree for an unspecified duration. Prior to their Master's degree, Manoj completed a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Mahatma Gandhi University. Manoj earned their Bachelor's degree in an unspecified timeframe as well. Furthermore, Manoj holds additional certifications including Certified Scrum Trainer (CST) from Scrum Alliance (obtained in August 2013) and Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (obtained in November 2002). Manoj also has certifications in Scrum Alliance, such as Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®), Certified Scrum Professional®-Product Owner, Certified Scrum Professional®-ScrumMaster, and Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®). Additionally, Manoj is a Scrum Foundations Educator certified by Scrum Alliance.
