Shuji Nakata

Shuji Nakata is the current Chief Financial Officer at Scrum Ventures. Prior to this, they were a Partner at Delta Pacific Partners, President & CEO at Bandai Namco Entertainment Romania, and EVP and CFO at Bandai Namco Entertainment America.

Shuji has over 20 years of experience in the video game industry. Shuji began their career at Bandai Namco Entertainment America in 2006, where they were responsible for finance, HR, corporate strategy, legal, logistics, IT, analytics, business intelligence, and general administration. Under their leadership, the company turned around from a loss situation to a two digit million dollar profit within three years. Shuji then accelerated profit growth to double the profit between 2015 and 2018.

In 2014, Shuji became President & CEO of Bandai Namco Entertainment Romania. During their tenure, they transformed the company from a QA / porting house to a high quality developer. Shuji successfully grew the team from 70 employees to over 150 employees.

Shuji has a proven track record of success in the video game industry. Their experience and leadership will continue to be an asset to Scrum Ventures.

Shuji Nakata has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management and a BS from Kyoto University in Economics.
