Akumu Bavon has a diverse work experience in the field of software development. Starting in 2020, they worked at ShopiLyv as a Software Engineer, where they led a mobile development team and developed an eCommerce application for a prominent Kenyan fashion company. In 2021, they worked as a Software Developer at Skape. In 2022, they joined SovTech as a Full-stack Developer, focusing on building and maintaining mobile applications for client Stanbic Bank South Africa. They also worked at Andela as a Senior Mobile Engineer and Lukhu Inc. as a Senior Software Developer. Prior to that, from 2017 to 2022, they worked at Suprema Softwares as a Full-stack Developer. Additionally, in 2020, they worked at Moovn Technologies as a Full-stack Developer and were later promoted to Mobile Lead, managing a team of developers.
Akumu Bavon attended Sawagongo High School from 2014 to 2017, where they obtained a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education. Following that, they enrolled at Strathmore University in 2019 and completed their Bachelor of Informatics and Computer Science degree in Computer Software Engineering in 2022.
In addition to their formal education, Akumu Bavon obtained a Problem Solving (Basic) Certificate from HackerRank in July 2022.
