Krista Long

Krista Long is an experienced Environmental Engineer currently working at SCS Engineers since February 2020, providing consultancy in sustainable materials management, solid waste, and environmental compliance. Krista has a strong background in project management, waste reduction planning, and developing storm water pollution prevention plans, partnering with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with NPDES regulations. Previous roles include an Environmental Engineering Intern at SCS Engineers, an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Kansas State University focusing on the benefits of urban trees, and a Production Management Engineer Co-Op at Cargill, where significant capital projects were managed. Krista also gained valuable experience as an Environmental Engineering Intern at Ash Grove Cement Company and a Water & Wastewater Laboratory Analyst Intern at the City of Olathe.
