Dean Stoneback

Dean Stoneback serves as the Senior Director of Engineering and Standards at SCTE since June 2014, focusing on developing standards and operational practices for the broadband communications industry, with an emphasis on preparing networks for DOCSIS 4. Prior to this role, Dean held various senior management positions in systems engineering at ARRIS and Motorola, overseeing teams tasked with designing access networks and developing hardware for Fiber-to-the-Home and Hybrid Fiber Coax systems. Dean's extensive career in the broadband field began as a design engineer at General Instrument, where foundational work in CATV transmission systems was conducted. Dean's educational background includes a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Geneva College. Dean volunteers at Penn Valley Church since 1973.
