Jeroen Bolwerk

Jeroen Bolwerk has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Jeroen started their career as a Zeilinstructeur at Catcenter in 2006 before co-founding 't Schuimkraagje, a start-up company focused on local party catering. Jeroen served as Co-Founder from 2007 to 2010, developing the business with a focus on price and package deals.

In 2011, Jeroen worked as a Chaletmanager at Wens Chalets before joining Rotterdam The Hague Airport as a Medewerker from 2012 to 2015.

Jeroen's passion for clean energy led him to SCW Systems, where they had multiple roles. As an Engineering Intern in 2015, they contributed to the development of clean energy technology. Jeroen then progressed to become a Mechanical Design Engineer from 2016 to 2020, specializing in turning waste into clean energy through biomass-to-green-gas solutions. Jeroen excelled in designing skid-based pressure vessels, creating 3D CAD models, and selecting materials. Since November 2020, they have been serving as a Team Lead Mechanical, leading efforts in developing CO2 cleanup projects using direct air capture technology to combat climate change.

Outside of their engineering career, Jeroen was actively involved at Café in de Smitse, a pub run by Stichting in de Smitse at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Jeroen served as Treasurer from 2013 to 2014, implementing a new financial structure and introducing checks and balances. Jeroen then became a Supervisory Board Member from 2014 to 2018, providing advice and coaching to new board members and overseeing the financial aspects of the foundation.

Jeroen Bolwerk pursued their education in a sequential manner. In 2011, they attended Erasmus University Rotterdam for a period of one year, focusing on Business Administration and Management, General. Following this, they enrolled in Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences from 2012 to 2017, specializing in Industrial and Product Design. The degree titles of their programs were not specified.
