South Carolina Youth Advocate Program
Chelsea Allen, LMSW, has extensive experience in providing behavioral health services to at-risk youth and families in South Carolina. Currently a Treatment Advocate with the South Carolina Youth Advocate Program since February 2015, Chelsea completes diagnostic assessments and facilitates treatment activities, including individual and family therapy. At Three Rivers Behavioral Health, Chelsea serves as an Intake Counselor, where responsibilities include conducting needs assessments, coordinating admissions, and providing crisis intervention. Previous roles include a clinical social work internship and research positions focused on health policy and service delivery. Chelsea holds a Master's and a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from the University of South Carolina.
South Carolina Youth Advocate Program
The South Carolina Youth Advocate Program (SCYAP) is South Carolina’s premier provider of foster care and community-based services. We are a private, non-profit, 501(c)3 child-placing and family-serving organization. SCYAP has served children and families in South Carolina since 1990. SCYAP programs promote individualized treatment, flexible programming, case and cause advocacy, community-based services, and a positive approach to treating children and working with families. We have a comprehensive array of programs and services to children and families dealing with serious emotional, behavioral, psychological and/or development issues.
