Andrew Tinka

Andrew Tinka has a diverse work experience in robotics and research. Andrew is currently working as a Motion Planning Engineer at Scythe Robotics since April 2023. Before joining Scythe Robotics, Andrew worked at Amazon Global Robotics, where they held the positions of Senior Research Scientist from September 2016 to March 2023, and Research Scientist from September 2012 to September 2016. Prior to that, they worked at UC Berkeley, first as a Research Engineer from January 2006 to September 2006, and later as a PhD student from August 2006 to December 2012. Andrew's earlier experience includes working as an Embedded Systems Engineer at Powis Parker, Inc. from July 2003 to January 2006.

Andrew Tinka completed their education in a chronological order. Andrew started by earning a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Engineering Physics at The University of British Columbia from 1996 to 2002. Following this, they attended the University of California, Berkeley where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Civil Systems from 2006 to 2008. Finally, Andrew Tinka pursued a Ph.D. at the University of California, Berkeley from 2008 to 2012, specializing in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS).
