Jacob Belton Groth has a diverse work experience in the financial services sector. Jacob Belton has held various roles at different companies. Jacob Belton started their career at FAIR Forsikring as an insurance agent from 2000 to 2001. Jacob Belton then worked at Nordea Bank as a Consultant Manager in 2009, where they provided consulting services to the internal business and IT organization. Jacob Belton also worked as an Integration Consultant for File Based Services at Nordea from 2004 to 2006. At Nordea, they held several other positions including Head of Netbanking Services, Head of Competence Centre - Cash Management Sales Denmark, Head of Global CM Implementations DK & FI, Global Head of Integration Services, and Master Expert, CM Customer Solutions.

In 2013, they joined Nordea Markets, Corporates & Institutions as an e-Consultancy before becoming an Independent Advisor - Digital Business & Product Development focusing on Financial Services as a freelancer in 2019. In 2019, they also worked at P27 Nordic Payments where they held roles in Customer Relations Management, Implementation Management, and Customer & Public Relations.

Currently, Jacob works at SDC as the Head of Business Development, Payments & Cards.

Jacob Belton Groth completed their Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Managing across Cultures at Roskilde University, where they studied from 1998 to 2001. Jacob Belton then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in International Marketing and Management with a specialization in Creating Business Networks at Copenhagen Business School from 2002 to 2004. In 2003, they took a brief stint at Grenoble Ecole de Management, earning a Diploma in International Business. Jacob's education history ends with their attendance at Ordrup Gymnasium from 1994 to 1997, where they did not earn a formal degree. Additionally, they obtained several certifications, including being a Certified SAFe® 4 Scrum Master from Scaled Agile Inc, a Certified SAFe® 4 Agilist from Scaled Agile, Inc., and completing a Grundlæggende Agil Porteføljestyring certification from Diplomasafe in 2016.
