Heidi Merkins

Heidi Merkins, PhD, is an accomplished Senior Materials Scientist with extensive experience in the field of materials science, having worked at IBM from December 1977 to December 2002, Hitachi Global Storage Technologies from 2002 to 2007, and retiring from a Senior Materials Scientist position in January 2008, serving until December 2020. Educational background includes a PhD in Chemistry/Polymer Science & Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and both a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemistry from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
