Jeff Stumbo has extensive work experience in various leadership roles. Jeff served as the Chief of Staff at the San Diego Fire Fighters Union from July 1992 to January 2003. After that, they joined the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) and took on the role of Chief Human Resources Officer in January 2003.

Jeff Stumbo attended San Diego State University from 1988 to 1992, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Administration. Jeff then pursued further education at the same university, completing a Masters of Public Administration degree from 1993 to 2000. No specific field of study was provided for their master's degree.
