Jim Daly

Jim Daly is the current COO at Sea Machines Robotics. Prior to that, they were with Rethink Robotics GmbH from January 2010 to December 2017, where they served as Chief Operating Officer (2015-2017), Vice President of Product Development and Operations (2013-2015), and Vice President of Supply Chain and Manufacturing (2010-2013). Jim was also with Tea Forte, Inc. from January 2005 to December 2009 as their Vice President of Operations, and with Zeemote Inc. from January 2009 to December 2009 in the same capacity. Their first executive position was as Director of Manufacturing Operations at Handspring from January 1999 to December 2003.

Daly has been instrumental in successfully scaling operations for various companies, from early technology concepts through first and second-generation products. Jim led the Sawyer robot product development project from conception through design, launch, mass production and global customer deployment while at Rethink Robotics. There, they also directed new product introduction of their first robot Baxter, which was recognized by Time Magazine as a 2012 “Best Invention of the Year”.

Jim Daly holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from the Santa Clara University Leavey School of Business.
