Willempje Vrins

Willempje Vrins is an experienced project lead and entrepreneur, currently serving as Kwartiermaker for TUMO Amsterdam at Openbare Bibliotheek Amsterdam since September 2023. Willempje has a philanthropic focus, having co-founded Boksschool Bijlmerbajes, a nonprofit kickboxing school aimed at supporting the local refugee population and residents of Amsterdam. Additionally, Willempje is acting as Bootcamp Producer for Sea Ranger Service, which trains youth for maritime careers while engaging them in conservation work. Previous roles include Project Manager at IJsfontein and Chef productie Ontwerplab at Openbare Bibliotheek Amsterdam, where initiatives centered on digital literacy and innovative learning experiences were developed. Willempje also held positions at UP! Nederland, New Amsterdam Film Company, and Spring House, among others, showcasing a strong background in social enterprises, project management, and gameful design. Educational credentials include an MA in Art Management from the Professional School of the Arts Utrecht and a BA in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Amsterdam.
