Laura Sanchez

Science Coordinator at Sea Shepherd Conservation Society

Laura is a biologist and a divemaster who has been involved with Sea Shepherd since 2015. She first volunteered at her local chapter in Barcelona, Spain, while studying at university. After that, Laura joined as the biologist on Operation Milagro IV to save the vaquita and has been dedicating her time to the campaign since then.

So far she has participated in six Milagro campaigns and in Operation Jairo, protecting sea turtles in Nicaragua. Laura is still active going on campaigns, working as the scientist on board.

She is also part of the Sea Shepherd Science Department, and has been present since its creation.
