Emily Hu has a diverse work experience starting from 2008 as a Student Aide at Montgomery College. Emily then worked as a Graphic Design Intern at International Child Art Foundation in 2013 and at DC Cancer Consortium in the same year. In 2015, they worked as a Tech Aide at Adventist HealthCare Imaging, where they prepared and updated medical records and assisted medical technologists. From 2017 to 2018, Emily worked as a Graphic Designer at Washington Chinese Daily News, managing and designing advertisements, typesetting news articles, and maintaining the company's website and social media assets. In 2018, they worked as a Graphic Designer at International Arts & Artists, providing creative support and designing marketing materials. Emily also worked as a Photographer Assistant at Love life images during the same period. Currently, Emily works as a Graphic Designer at Seaberry Design & Communications, where they independently plan, conceptualizes, and designs graphics and marketing materials in various formats.

Emily Hu earned an Associate's Degree in General Studies from Montgomery College in the years 2008 to 2011.

Subsequently, Emily Hu pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Graphic Design at the University of Maryland Baltimore County from 2012 to 2013.

In addition to their formal education, Emily Hu obtained various certifications. Emily completed the "Foundations of User Experience (UX) Design" course from Coursera in April 2021.
