Ken Knight has over 30 years of work experience in the engineering and construction industry. Ken is currently the Director-Project Engineering at Seaboard Overseas and Trading Group. Prior to this, they worked at Cargill for 11 years in various roles, including as a Regional Sr. Construction Supervisor and a Build Project Manager. Before Cargill, Ken worked at Southern Company as a Project Engineer-Site Design and a Sr. Engineer at Farley Nuclear Plant. Ken also gained valuable experience at United States Steel Corporation, where they served as a Manager - Engineering Services and a Sr. Project Engineer. In their early career, Ken worked at Cadence Technologies as a Sr. Project Manager and at BE&K Engineering Co. as a Mechanical Design Engineer. Throughout their career, Ken has managed and executed a wide range of capital and expense projects, developed construction execution plans, supported cost estimating and scheduling efforts, and provided technical support to ensure safe and effective project implementations.

Ken Knight attended Jefferson State Community College from 1987 to 1990, where they focused on pre-engineering. Following this, they went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, graduating in 1993. In addition to their formal education, Ken also holds certifications as a Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute (PMI) and as a Registered Professional Engineer from the AL State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers.
