Tidiane Souare

Tidiane Souare has extensive work experience in the financial sector. Tidiane began their career at EY in 2007, where they worked as a staff assistant and eventually became an assistant manager. During their time at EY, they led various audit engagements in industries such as mining, banking, and insurance. Tidiane also performed internal control reviews and financial statement reviews under different accounting standards. Tidiane supervised teams and successfully delivered projects within deadlines. Tidiane also oversaw audit assignments related to fraud investigations and led the financial department of BHP Billiton for two months. Additionally, they conducted physical inventory and mentored new hires at EY. Tidiane joined Seaboard Overseas and Trading Group in 2016 and currently holds the position of Financial Director. In this role, they are responsible for coordinating financial, accounting, and management control functions at Gambia Milling Corporation. Tidiane leads a team of professionals and ensures the timely preparation and issuance of financial statements.

Tidiane Souare completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting & Finance from ISCAE - Institut Supérieur de Commerce et d'Administration des Entreprises from 2002 to 2006. Tidiane then pursued further education and earned an Accounting MBA degree with a focus on Accounting and Management from Rochester Institute of Technology from 2013 to 2015.

In terms of additional certifications, Tidiane Souare obtained the Certified Financial Examiner (CFE) certification from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) in February 2021. Tidiane also holds the designation of Accountant/Certified Public Accountant from the New Hampshire Board of Accountancy. Additionally, they have the potential to obtain the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification from ISACA, although it is unclear whether they have obtained this certification yet.
