John Tamplin

President / CEO at Seafloor Systems

John Tamplin has a wealth of professional experience. Starting in 1984, they served as a Sonar Technician/Hydrographer - Mine Clearance/Area Search Detachment for the US Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit 7. In 1992, they took on the role of Technical Support Manager and Sales Engineer for RESON, Inc. (now part of Teledyne Marine). In 1994, they became Project Manager for Triton Technologies, Inc. (now ECA Group - Triton Imaging). Finally, in 1999, they became President/CEO of Seafloor Systems, Inc.

John Tamplin received a Bachelor's Degree in Marine and Atmospheric Sciences from Stony Brook University between 1985 and 1989. In 1998, they obtained a Certificate in Hydrographic Survey for Nautical Charting from Old Dominion University. In 2017, they received a Certificate in Entrepreneurship from Babson College, focusing on Entrepreneurial and Small Business Operations. John also holds a PADI Open Water Diver certification from PADI.
