Charles Nordstrom

Charles Nordstrom, P.E. serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Seagate Space, overseeing technical leadership in offshore engineering and operations. In addition, Charles is the Founding Principal of Blue Sea Consulting, LLC, providing consultancy services for innovative maritime initiatives. Previously, Charles held roles such as Associate Technical Director for Floating Offshore Wind at COWI and Product Design Director at Newlab, focusing on sustainable transportation technologies. Experience includes a tenure at Google, where Charles worked as a Rapid Evaluation Resident at Google X, managing moonshot projects, and served as Head of Offshore for the Makani project, which developed airborne wind turbines. Additional consultancy work at BVG Associates and a long-standing role as Senior Naval Architect at Glosten contributed to Charles's depth of expertise in maritime engineering. Academic qualifications include a Stanford LEAD Professional Certificate and dual degrees in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the University of Michigan, alongside a period as a guest student at Newcastle University.
