Olle Heinonen

Olle Heinonen is currently a Principal Engineer at Seagate Technology, where they focus on developing high-performance computing frameworks for magnetic and materials modeling. With a background in materials science and condensed matter physics, Olle has extensive experience in research and development, including computational methods and machine learning applications in materials modeling. Prior to their role at Seagate, they worked at Argonne National Laboratory as a Senior Materials Scientist and led significant initiatives within a computational materials center. Olle also served as an Associate Professor at the University of Central Florida and holds degrees in Engineering Physics and Condensed Matter Theory from Uppsala University and Case Western Reserve University, respectively. They are a Fellow of the American Physical Society and received a Distinguished Associate accolade from the Materials Measurement Laboratory at the National Institutes for Standards and Technology in 2022.
