Alek Vernitsky

Alek Vernitsky has a diverse work experience in various leadership roles. Alek co-founded and served as the CEO of Portside, Inc., where they built a financial management platform for private aviation. Prior to that, they were the Senior Vice President and Head of Product at thredUP, a leading marketplace for women's and kids' clothing. Alek also worked as the Senior Vice President of Product Strategy at BCD Travel, where they successfully integrated the GetGoing team and deployed a hotel booking and revenue optimization platform globally. Alek was the CEO and co-founder of GetGoing, Inc, a company that developed a hotel booking and revenue optimization platform for corporate travel agencies. Alek also served as a board member at Hostelling International USA and contributed to a major non-profit merger. Alek'searlier experiences include working as a Manager at Bain & Company, Sr. Product Manager at HumanConcepts, Project Manager at Gap, Inc, and Sr. Consultant at Arthur Andersen.

Alek Vernitsky attended the University of California, Berkeley from 1997 to 2000, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Legal Studies. Following this, Alek enrolled at the Harvard Business School from 2007 to 2009 and obtained a Master in Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Business Administration.
