Skylar Fernandez is a dedicated professional with substantial experience in case management and community outreach. Currently serving as a Case Manager at Seamen's Society for Children and Families, Skylar provides vital counseling services to survivors of domestic violence and facilitates support groups using trauma-informed approaches. Previously, Skylar worked as a Recruiter for the Coalition for Hispanic Family Services, focusing on locating and training potential foster families. An extensive internship background with the Richmond County District Attorney's Office involved work across multiple units, including organizing files, legal research, and client communication. Skylar also gained teaching experience at Wagner College as a Scribe and Writing Intensive Tutor, supporting students with disabilities and enhancing their analytical skills. Skylar holds a Bachelor of Arts in Pre-Law Studies from Wagner College and graduated from Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School with a focus on Fine and Studio Arts.
