Gloria Chan has worked in the software and epidemiology fields over the past decade. In 2017, they began working with SeamlessMD as a Senior Software Developer, and prior to that, they were a Software Developer. From 2012 to 2017, they worked with Novometrix Research Inc. as an Epidemiologist, conducting literature review, data analysis, report writing, and project management. From 2009 to 2012, they worked with the University of Guelph, first as a Research Assistant and then as an MSc Student in Epidemiology. Her thesis focused on understanding the role of C. perfringens type A in the cause of suckling pig diarrhea.

Gloria Chan attended the University of Guelph from 2006-2010, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Bio-medical Science. Gloria then continued their studies at the University of Guelph from 2010-2012, where they earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Population Medicine. In 2017, they attended Lighthouse Labs to study Full Stack Web Development.
