Saji Prelis

Director, Children & Youth Programs at Search for Common Ground

Saji Prelis is an experienced leader in the fields of peacebuilding and youth engagement, currently serving as the Director of Children & Youth Programs at Search for Common Ground since January 2011, where technical support is provided to programs across 30 countries. Saji has been a co-chair of the Global Coalition on Youth, Peace and Security since January 2012, collaborating with various partners to influence policy and practice in the sector. Previously, Saji served as the Associate Director at the Peacebuilding & Development Institute of American University, where training initiatives were founded and directed. Additional roles include contributions to the Open Society Foundation's Youth Advisory Board, project coordination at the Genocide Prevention Center, and participation in the CONTACT program at the School of International Training. Saji's academic background includes a Master's degree in International Peace & Conflict Resolution from American University, a BA/BS in International Affairs and Political Science from Oregon State University, and an Associate degree in Psychology from Los Angeles Pierce College.
