Erica Van Steenis is a lead researcher at Search Institute since June 2022, focusing on enhancing the capacity of K-12 educators and practitioners nationwide. Prior experience includes serving as a research associate at Renée Crown Wellness Institute CU Boulder, where collaborative design efforts resulted in curriculum development for the Masters of Educator Leadership Program. As a project manager and research associate for Orange County Educational Advancement Network, Erica oversaw partnerships supported by significant grant funding. Erica completed a PhD in Learning Sciences and Human Development from the University of Colorado Boulder, where also served as an associate instructor, and holds a Master of Science in Community Development from the University of California, Davis, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in History and Global Poverty from the University of California, Berkeley.
