Nanyamka Redmond, Ph.D., is a dedicated research scientist at Search Institute since March 2021, specializing in applied youth development by exploring the influence of relationships on the thriving of BIPOC youth. In addition to this role, Nanyamka has been a self-employed youth engagement specialist since September 2019, creating programs aimed at fostering positive youth development and providing direct support through coaching, mentoring, and counseling. Nanyamka's experience also includes positions as a research assistant and virtues in athletes research fellow at Thrive Center for Human Development, as well as diverse roles in educational settings, including director of school partnerships at Character Lab and co-head track coach and psychology teacher at Maranatha High School. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Psychology from Fuller Theological Seminary, a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Azusa Pacific University, and a BA in Psychology from Occidental College.
