Dr Nick Savage

Dr. Nick Savage has a diverse work experience in the field of computer networks and cyber security. Dr Nick is currently employed as the Head of Infrastructure, Security and Compliance at Searchlight Cyber - The Dark Web Experts, where they are responsible for maintaining cloud and on-premise servers and infrastructure. Dr Nick'srole also involves designing and deploying new systems according to best practices and specific security requirements. Dr Nick is also responsible for developing standards and procedures to ensure that the company obtains and maintains various certifications.

Prior to their current position, Dr. Savage worked as an Advisor at TryHackMe, providing guidance and expertise in the field. Dr Nick also served as the Head of the School of Computing at the University of Portsmouth for eight years, where they significantly increased the yearly income and research income of the school. Dr Nick held various roles within the university, including Principal Lecturer and Senior Lecturer, where they coordinated undergraduate programs, prepared and delivered teaching materials, and engaged with external companies for collaborative projects.

Dr. Savage has also worked as a Visiting Professor in Computer Networks and Security at the International Hellenic University. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Contractor at Infratech Ltd, where they specialized in network design and installation. Dr Nick started their career as an Industrial Placement Student at DML, gaining experience as an analyst.

Dr. Nick Savage holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Statistical Analysis of Wireless Communication Network Channels from the University of Portsmouth. Dr. Savage completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng Hons) in Electronic and Computer Engineering, and their Master of Arts (MA) in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education, both from the University of Portsmouth. Additionally, they have a Business Management Certificate from NEBS. Dr. Savage obtained A Levels in Computer Science, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry from Plymstock School.
