Alex Kombos

Alex Kombos has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Alex most recently served as the Chief Executive Officer at Searchspring starting in February 2023. Prior to this, they worked as an EIR/Investment Partner at Private Equity from September 2021 to February 2023.

Before their role at Private Equity, Kombos held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Pressable (an Automattic company) from August 2019 to November 2021. In this role, they led a WordPress hosting and digital experience platform.

From September 2016 to August 2019, Kombos served as the Chief Executive Officer at ONOXA | Taglich Private Equity, a B2B digital venture. Alex was responsible for driving growth, brand development, and P&L reporting to the Private Equity Board.

Alex Kombos also has experience as the Chief Growth Officer and Founder & CEO of EventNow, a VC-backed company that was later acquired by Crowdster. As part of Crowdster, they focused on marketing, sales, and business development targeting Fortune 5000 brands from January 2010 to May 2016.

In their earlier career, Kombos founded and led MusicNow, a global digital music e-commerce network, from January 2005 to December 2009. Alex also held various roles at JP Morgan Chase/e-Business, Grey Interactive/Beyond Interactive, iBoom.com/Ideal Entropia S.A., and NetNames.
