Guoguo Chen has extensive experience in the field of speech recognition and natural language processing. Guoguo is the co-founder and CTO of Vobil.com and SEASALT.AI. Prior to these roles, they worked as a Principal Architect at Baidu USA starting in 2017. Guoguo was also a co-founder and CTO of KITT.AI, which was acquired by Baidu in 2017. Guoguo started their career as a Research Assistant at Johns Hopkins University, where they worked on various aspects of speech recognition. Guoguo also had summer internships at Google in 2013 and 2014, during which they built hotword detection systems that are widely used on millions of devices with Google Assistant and Google Home.
Guoguo Chen's education history began in 2006 when they enrolled at Tsinghua University and pursued a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering. This educational journey lasted until 2010. Following this, they joined The Johns Hopkins University in 2010 and completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Speech Recognition in 2015.
