Samuel Hunter Hatcher is a seasoned engineering professional with expertise in biomedical innovation and design. Currently serving as a Project Engineer, Senior Design Engineer, and Design Engineer at SeaSpine since November 2019, Samuel has contributed significantly to various projects in the medical device sector. Prior experience includes a role as a Graduate R&D Intern at MedShape, Inc., where Samuel focused on developing new trauma products and conducting thorough testing to validate designs. Additionally, Samuel co-founded Alfirin Technologies LLC after winning the Georgia Tech InVenture Prize, leading the development of electrocautery devices. Earlier internships at Grady Health System and Sulchek BioMEMs & Biomechanics Laboratory enriched Samuel's background in clinical observation and research. Samuel holds both a Master's degree in Biomedical Innovation and Development and a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering, both from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
