Shane Cooney

Shane Cooney is a skilled biomedical engineer with a robust background in project management and product development within the medical device industry. Currently serving as a Project Engineer at SeaSpine since October 2021, Shane leads the development of the NorthStar OCT posterior cervical fixation system and works collaboratively with cross-functional teams and surgeon partners. Prior experience at SeaSpine included roles as a Product Development Engineer and Design Engineer, focusing on cervical systems and custom instrument requests. Previous positions include Design Engineer at Integra LifeSciences, Medical IT Consultant at Camino Cardiovascular Group, and Engineering Research Internships at Stanford University School of Medicine and Lifespan. Shane holds both a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Brown University.
