David McKay

David McKay has a diverse background in the music industry and entrepreneurship. David co-founded Seated in 2017 and currently serves as the CEO. Prior to this, David held the position of Head of Business Development at Applauze from 2013 until 2017 when the company was acquired. At Applauze, they built the artist ticketing and tour analytics business. Before that, they co-founded Lost Radio in 2012, a music tech startup that offered ad-supported download tools to artists and labels. Additionally, David worked as the Head of Digital Marketing at Photo Finish Records / Atlantic Records from 2008 to 2012, where they innovated and maintained the digital presence for the label's artists. David also co-founded Artist Approved in 2007, an artist management company, where they managed day-to-day activities for various artists and aided in their digital marketing efforts.

David McKay attended Tulane University from 2004 to 2006, where they studied Business. David then transferred to the University of Southern California and completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Music Industry from 2006 to 2008.
