Lewis Putz

Lewis Putz has had a varied and extensive career in software engineering. In 2019, they were a Senior Software Engineer and then a Software Engineer at Seatfrog. At the same time, they were a Full-Stack Software Engineer at Weengs, working across the PHP/Node. js/Vue. js stack in a service-oriented architecture deployed on AWS Lambda. Lewis was responsible for large scale database cleanup and code refactor to speed up development, as well as building business dashboards with Periscope to transform business KPIs into graphs using real data. In addition, they were involved in rapid prototyping of products and tools to explore future growth opportunities and building a Node.

From 2015 to 2019, Lewis Putz worked at DHI Group, Inc. as a Software Engineer - Lengo and a Software Engineer - WorkDigital. During this time, they further worked on migration, including queries from Solr 3 to ElasticSearch, and replicating functionality from the old platform onto the new platform. Lewis also worked with the data insights team to assess the quality and quantity of data in their indices, built Swagger API documentation, and worked on converting the schema of an ElasticSearch index from nested to a flattened format. Additionally, they were responsible for efficient use of RabbitMq, reducing the amount of data having to be passed over the network, and ensuring that TravisCI continues to work, including on potential future configurations of the platform. Lewis began their tenure at DHI Group, Inc. as a Junior Software Engineer - WorkDigital.

Lewis Putz received a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Hertfordshire in 2015, having started their studies in 2012.
