Emily Sprong has a diverse work experience, spanning from 1995 to present.

Emily served as the Executive Director of Seattle Area Feline Rescue, starting in 2018. Prior to that, they held the same role at Friends of North Creek Forest from 2015 to 2017. In this position, they were responsible for directing fundraising, programming, outreach, communications, advocacy, and organizational administration for the non-profit organization.

Before that, Emily worked as the Program Director at Kruckeberg Botanic Garden Foundation from 2008 to 2015. Additionally, they held multiple roles at Puget Sound Bird Observatory, including Bander Training/McDaniel Field Station Director from 2007 to 2012 and Board Vice President from 2006 to 2012.

Emily's earlier experience includes working as the High School Program Manager at Seattle Audubon from 2000 to 2007 and as a Customer Service Specialist at Stowe Area Association from 1995 to 1998.

Emily Sprong received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Neuroscience from Williams College from 1990 to 1994. Emily then pursued a Master of Science degree in Wildlife Biology at the University of Vermont from 1996 to 1999. Prior to their college education, they attended Buckingham Browne & Nichols from 1985 to 1990, although no degree or field of study was specified.

Seattle Area Feline Rescue

SAFe Rescue saves feline lives by taking in homeless cats, giving them the care they need, finding them loving homes, and supporting their human companions. Seattle Area Feline Rescue is located on the border of Seattle and Shoreline, at 14717 Aurora Ave. N, Shoreline, WA 98133. We are a non-profit, no-kill rescue. SAFe Rescue takes in homeless cats and kittens, gives them the care they need to recover, and finds them loving homes. Over 1,600 felines, including seniors and special needs cats, find homes here each year as people in search of new friends visit our welcoming storefront Adoption Center. An extensive network of community volunteers and foster families helps the rescue carry out its mission and save more lives.
