Eugene Day, DSc, is a seasoned expert in data science and operations optimization, currently serving as the Director of Discrete Event Simulation and Data Science at Seattle Children's since February 2018. In this role, Eugene leads inpatient flow, quality and safety, and bedside analytics delivery teams, focusing on enhancing pediatric care through predictive and prescriptive analytics. Eugene's extensive experience includes previous positions as a Data Science Manager and Principal Data Scientist at Seattle Children's and roles at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, where systems engineering tools were applied to improve strategies and operational performance.
