Sean Ibarrientos

Sean Ibarrientos is an experienced research scientist with a strong focus on pediatric immunotherapy in GMP-compliant environments. Currently serving as Research Scientist III at Seattle Children's since May 2018, Sean is responsible for training staff and managing projects while executing standardized procedures for clinical research applications. Previous roles include Research Scientist II at Seattle Children's and Research Scientist at Altius Institute for Biomedical Sciences, where Sean contributed to cell and tissue culture and DNA regulatory element characterization. Earlier experience includes work as an Emergency Medical Technician at Falck and various research roles at the University of Washington and Benaroya Research Institute, specializing in protein purification. Sean holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Washington.
