Derek Forare

Derek Forare, CPP, is an experienced security professional currently serving as the Director of Public Safety & Security at Seattle Convention Center since April 2020. Prior to this role, Derek held the position of Asset Protection & Safety Manager at Lowe's Companies, Inc., where responsibilities included overseeing security and safety programs for a large location. Derek's extensive career at Target spanned nearly a decade, advancing from Executive Team Leader in Assets Protection to Market Investigator, managing security initiatives across multiple states. Derek holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Florida International University.
