Chief People Officer at SEATTLE INDIAN HEALTH BOARD

Pam Grindley is the current Chief People Officer at SEATTLE INDIAN HEALTH BOARD. Prior to this, they worked as the Assistant Director of Academic HR at the University of Washington from June 2006 to September 2016. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing and managing operations in the Office of Academic Human Resources, which is responsible for all academic faculty throughout the UW System. This included campuses in Seattle, Tacoma, and Bothell. Pam also advised senior administrators including Deans/Chancellors, Chairs and Directors of academic programs regarding all aspects of academic personnel, including UW policy, faculty appointments, employee relations, leaves, promotion and tenure, recruitment and international services. In addition, they supervised AHR and International Scholar operations staff; advised the Director and Assistant Vice Provost(s) of ongoing operations, business process improvement and unit organizational policy. Pam has also been in charge of managing employee relations for internal employees as well as UW faculty, including conflict resolution, coaching, counseling, performance management and disciplinary action. Pam has also served as the leader for Academic HR strategic plan initiatives for employee recognition and internal training programs.

Pam Grindley has a Doctor of Law (JD) from Gonzaga University School of Law, a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from University of Phoenix, and they are certified as a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).

They work with Abigail Echo-Hawk - EVP, Linda Zhang - CFO, and Socia Love-Thurman - Chief Health Officer. Pam Grindley reports to Esther Lucero, President & CEO.
