Jeffrey Jordan

VP for Student Life at Seattle Pacific University

Dr. Jordan is responsible for collaborative planning with SPU’s academic leaders, student leaders, and student life staff. Together they deliver quality support services for student success, learning opportunities that complement and extend curricular experiences, and implementation of and advising for community development experiences. He also serves as ombudsperson to all students.

From 1985 to 1989, Dr. Jordan served on the SPU campus as a residence life coordinator for undergraduate students living on campus. As an RLC, he was a full-time staff member responsible for providing overall management and leadership for residential students.

Between 1989 and 2004, he was employed at Pacific Lutheran University as dean of student academic success; executive director of auxiliary services; director of residence life; and coordinator of student conduct and special programs.

Dr. Jordan returned to SPU in 2004 as the associate vice president for academic affairs and dean of student life. He served in those roles until January 2012, when he was named SPU’s vice president for student life.

Dr. Jordan received a bachelor’s degree from Houghton College in 1983, a master’s degree from State University of New York, College at Buffalo in 1985, and an EdD from Seattle University in 2004.
