David Christensen

David Christensen has extensive experience in data analysis and library services, currently serving as Data Analysis Lead at The Seattle Public Library since January 2007. In this role, responsibilities include extracting and visualizing data using tools such as R, Tableau, and SQL, while centering equity and social justice in performance reporting. Previous positions include Virtual and Instruction Services Librarian, where David managed virtual reference services and developed technical tutorials, and Librarian, focusing on computer education and job seeker support. Additionally, as a Data Management Consultant at Results for Development, David improved R code for tracking global aid flows. David holds an MA in Library and Information Science from Loughborough University and a BA in English from the University of Oregon.
