Matt Winter

Matt Winter has a diverse background in sports communications and media relations. Matt started their career as a Student Intern at the University of Washington Intercollegiate Athletics, where they gained experience in assisting the sports information staff with game stats, program/website features, and gameday media relations. Afterwards, they worked as a Sports News Assistant at The Seattle Times, where they were responsible for gathering results and stats for high school athletic events and providing highlights to editors. Currently, they are serving as the Communications Coordinator for the Seattle Sounders FC, where they manage media inquiries, press box operations, club messaging, and celebrity players' media commitments. Matt is skilled in maintaining relationships with local and national media, pitching stories, handling high-pressure situations, and producing official written collaterals.
