Sam Vickery has had a diverse range of work experience in sales and marketing roles within the sports industry. Sam began their career as a Customer Service Representative at Goodrich Quality Theaters in 2012. In 2013, they worked as a Summer Intern at Iowa Energy Basketball, where they focused on marketing, promotions, and customer service. From 2014 to 2015, they served as a Volleyball Intern for the University of Missouri, where they assisted with marketing and promoting Mizzou Volleyball. In 2015, they worked as a Tournament Operations Intern at The Ripken Experience, gaining experience in event operations.
In 2016, Sam held two positions, starting as a Stadium Operations Apprentice at Iowa Cubs and then transitioning to an Account Executive, Ticket Sales role at Iowa Wild, where they focused on business development and providing VIP service for season ticket members. The following year, they joined the St. Louis Cardinals as a Direct Sales Representative, where they generated significant ticket revenue through outbound and inbound calls. Sam also contributed to winning the 2018 Ticket Development Team Sales competition.
In 2019, Sam joined the Seattle Mariners as a Sales Consultant, where they marketed and sold various ticket packages and generated revenue through group events and prospecting. Sam then joined Outreach in 2021 as a Corporate Sales Development Representative before transitioning to a role as a Sales Development Representative.
Most recently, Sam Vickery joined Seattle Sounders FC in 2022 as a Premium Hospitality Sales Executive.
Sam Vickery attended the University of Missouri-Columbia from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree. Sam'smajor was Parks, Recreation, and Tourism with an emphasis on Sport Management. Sam also completed a minor in Business.
