Skylar Johnson has a diverse work experience. They started their career in 2009 as an Office of Research Student Assistant at the University of Washington, where they worked until 2012. In 2011, they joined the Seattle Sounders FC as a Tuba Section Lead in the Sounders Sound Wave Band. They are responsible for performing music at home games and community events. In 2012, Skylar began working at Synapse Product Development. They initially worked as a Facilities Manager until 2018. Then, they transitioned to a Printed Circuit Board Designer role, where they designed circuit boards for various clients and projects. Their expertise includes designing for low and high volume production, using technologies such as HDI, blind and buried vias, RF design, and more. Additionally, Skylar briefly served as a Purchasing Specialist from 2020 to 2022.
Skylar Johnson graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History from the University of Washington, where they attended from 2007 to 2012. In addition to their degree, Skylar has obtained certifications in the field of interconnect design. They earned the IPC Certified Interconnect Designer certification from IPC in August 2019 and the Advanced Certified Interconnect Designer (CID+) certification from the same institution in June 2022.
