John Michel is a dedicated music educator and accomplished cellist with extensive experience in both academic and performance settings. As a Cello Professor at Central Washington University since September 1990, John has contributed significantly to music education. In addition, John serves as a Substitute cellist for the Seattle Symphony since 2008, showcasing professional performance skills. John also founded and currently holds the position of Treasurer for the Internet Cello Society since September 1995, fostering an international community aimed at enhancing the understanding and enjoyment of cello playing for enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels. John holds a Master of Music in Music Performance in Cello from the New England Conservatory of Music and a Bachelor of Music in Music Performance in Cello from the University of Michigan.
